Beacon Community Center ⭐
Visitors to Beacon Community Center describe it as a “place of peace,” a place that “builds bridges across cultures and languages” and, most poignantly, “a place where I belong.” One of the Christar workers serving there explains, “‘Keeping the lights on’ means that the Lighthouse of Friendship can continue providing a center for outreach activities in the community,” particularly for local North African immigrants.

Iraqi Refugee Outreach
“These English classes give us an entrance to peoples’ lives and homes,” explains Beth, one of the English instructors. Through these classes, Beth and her Iraqi Refugee Outreach teammates have opportunities to share biblical truth and to meet people open to the gospel, including a young couple who used to attend church regularly in their home country. This couple introduced Beth and her husband to a believing family member, opening opportunities to encourage him in his faith. “We would never have made these connections without [her] presence in English class,” Beth rejoices.

Arab Woman Today ⭐
“We honestly were blown away by the generosity of the givers,” Erica shares, one of the Christar workers serving through Arab Woman Today. “The Lord is at work here, and we couldn’t do this without your support.” Women continue to receive much-needed counseling in the aftermath of war, trauma, abuse and other hardships. Erica notes that many of these ladies come from least-reached areas and Muslim backgrounds, and some have never met a Christian before coming to AWT for emotional support.

Persian Outreach Project
During Persian New Year in March, Persian believers partnered with a church-planting team that just moved to a new city. As they interacted with fellow Persians in malls or on the street, they had the opportunity to hand out 150 SD cards loaded with Christian media. As they did, they were blessed to see their countrymen responding to the good news, and they rejoiced that eight of these individuals were among the 30 visitors who came to the first community event held by the church plant. By God’s grace, this is the first step in establishing a Persian church in the city.

New Life Resource Center ⭐
“Your generosity will bear much fruit and help families here to thrive,” shares the manager of the New Life Resource Center. “So many young couples have been blessed through your sacrificial giving, and we are thankful to the Lord for inspiring you to give toward this project!” Most of the seminar participants have never experienced such a conference before, so the team is excited to help these believing couples learn how to represent the love of Christ and His Church in least-reached communities.

Crisis Relief Fund
Thane and his teammates have continued to minister to refugees who have fled Myanmar, and thanks to prior gifts to the Crisis Relief Fund, they’ve distributed food and winter clothing to at least 80 families.
God used this response to an immediate need to open hearts: 35 individuals from Hindu and Buddhist backgrounds have come to Christ! The team is now conducting regular discipleship camps for these new believers, made possible through your donations.

Cleft of the Rock
Cleft of the Rock Ministry Center provides a haven away from the stresses of ministering in the Middle East. One of the founders shares how donors’ gifts to this project provide cozy lodging for people to rest, enjoy God’s creation and be renewed in their spirits. “We want people living in this difficult part of the world to thrive in their lives and ministry,” she explains, adding that coming to the center allows workers to return to their places of service with renewed zeal for God’s glory among the least-reached.

Barnabas Building
On the construction site of the Barnabas Building, all the workers are treated with kindness and respect—a rare blessing in a culture in which members of the lowest caste are often mistreated and looked down upon.
The project manager shares that the ultimate goal of building this structure is “to see the people in the community come to know our Savior, be discipled and reach out to the neighboring villages, which are the least-reached.”

Timothy Project ⭐
The Timothy Project’s goal is to see the Middle Eastern believers who participate in its Bible studies truly discipled—so that their hearts are transformed in addition to their behavior. “It’s about character change, worldview change and a transformation in the default setting,” says a worker who helps lead this project. He adds, “Thank you for your generosity, for your investment in transformed lives, not just in a project. There are people whose character is going to change, who will live different lives because of your contributions.” Also, their unbelieving family members will also notice the difference in them!

CHL Women's Bible School
The CHL Women’s Bible School staff had planned to buy eight used computers to replace their existing machines that were more than a decade old. But, thanks to God’s abundant provision through your generosity, the school can now afford to invest in 10 much better, newer machines! These computers will last longer as they are used to train both CHL students and community members in the fundamentals of using technology. By God’s grace, believing women will be equipped for ministry, and unbelieving community members will be more prepared for better jobs as well as have the opportunity to hear the gospel.

Haven of Hope
Lucy desperately needed help. One of the project managers at Haven of Hope has witnessed how this elderly Middle Eastern woman seemed to be overwhelmed by “wave upon wave of pain and insult” after the death of her brother, the greedy demands of her brother’s son and the sudden passing of her sister, with whom she had always lived. Through your generosity, Haven of Hope staff have been able to walk by her side and help provide spiritual support and fellowship, as well as some of Lucy’s daily necessities.

JETS ⭐
Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary exists to equip spiritual leaders to plant and strengthen churches in the Arab world. Thanks to each of you who gave, students at the seminary are able to get away for an overnight retreat that refreshes and encourages them as they prepare for ministry. In addition, funding was provided for a new vehicle to help students avoid the fares and long commute times involved with public transportation. As Rebecca, the chief operating officer of JETS, shares, “Having funding for these two tools enables the students to focus wholly on that main goal!”

Deaf Initiative
Translation of Through God’s Eyes, a Bible study about missions, into American Sign Language is underway! The Deaf Initiative coordinator is building partnerships with Deaf organizations and churches to distribute this unique resource when it is ready. By God’s grace, it will be a tool He uses to give many Deaf believers a heart for taking the gospel to those who haven’t yet been introduced to Jesus. Through it, we envision mobilizing both Deaf and hearing people to take the gospel to the Deaf in least-reached areas. Presently, we are in conversation with five people who have the potential to serve the Deaf cross-culturally.
