Church-Planting Fund

Gifts toward the Christar Church-Planting Fund are currently being used to help Christar workers serve effectively in rural communities that lack access to the gospel.

According to the World Bank, over 40% of the world’s people live in rural areas. And, in many of the nations with the most least-reached people, well over half reside outside of urban areas. Their location is a major factor in their lack of access to the good news of Jesus because they are geographically cut off from churches that proclaim the gospel in their language.

That’s why many Christar workers serve in communities outside of urban centers—places where few, if any other efforts are being made to share the hope of Christ. By establishing churches in these communities, they seek to establish a lasting, multiplying gospel presence.

Christar exists to see churches established among the least-reached: in communities that don’t yet have a fellowship of believers that proclaims the gospel in their language and in a culturally relevant way. Trusting Jesus’ promise to build His Church, Christar workers share the good news, disciple those who trust in Christ and gather groups of believers that worship together. As these believers grow in their faith, God calls some of them to plant additional churches.

Your gift to the Christar Church-Planting Fund helps workers to share the hope of Christ through a wide range of creative outreaches, from language classes to medical clinics to coffeehouses, as well as train national believers in least-reached communities for ministry. We praise God that through these efforts, local churches are being established in communities with little or no other gospel witness.

Participate Through Giving:

Your gift to the Church-Planting Fund will:

• Assist teams of Christar workers and national believers in multiplying church-planting efforts in rural Central Asian communities.
• Help workers in Southeast Asia partner with and train local believers for church-planting ministry.

Participate Through Prayer:

• Praise God for raising up national believers in least-reached communities with hearts to reach their neighbors with the gospel.
• Pray for wisdom for Christar teams in partnering with these believers to establish reproducing churches.
