Global English Project
Christar workers began holding summer English classes in a Middle Eastern community in 2007. Their goal was not only to teach a language that many in the area wanted to learn, but also to share the gospel with a people group that’s nearly 100 percent Muslim.
In 2015 these workers opened a school and are now serving over 500 students by offering English classes year round. Through these classes, workers are able to build relationships with least-reached people, many of whom have never heard the gospel. These relationships sometimes lead to Bible studies and, by God’s grace, will lead to fellowships of believers worshiping together.
Your gift to the Global English project will help Christar workers run a language school in a Middle Eastern community, enabling them to build relationships and share the gospel with least-reached people.
Specific Need
- $300 will pay for a local videographer to make a commercial for the school as well as take professional pictures that will be used to promote the school on social media.
Participate by Praying for the Global English Project:
- Praise God for His faithfulness in establishing this initiative as one of the most reputable English schools in its city.
- Ask God to work in the hearts of the school’s local unbelieving staff and draw them closer to Him through their daily interactions with believing staff members.
- Ask God to bring people to the school who are not only interested in English but are seeking the truth and interested in God’s kingdom.
- Pray that teachers will have opportunities to demonstrate that they are Christ’s disciples by showing love and compassion to their students and for each other.
- Lift up the secret believers in the city where the English school is located. Pray that they would be bold enough to tell their families about their faith in Christ.
