Parenting in your home culture is hard. Parenting while living in a different culture adds layers of complexity. Ariana shares some of the joys and challenges of raising children in a foreign context, including receiving surprising and uninvited advice from strangers. Through all the stressors of trying to help her kids deal with culture stress while at the same time helping them adjust to living in their new community, God has met her needs. As she shares, she isn’t the same person she was when she first moved across cultures and is thankful for all God is teaching her as a young mom.
