Sponsor a Meal for Future Cross-Cultural Workers!
Preparing the next generation of cross-cultural workers to serve among the least-reached includes two weeks of intensive, in-person training: one at the beginning of their journey and another just before they leave for the field.
During these trainings, held at the Christar U.S. Mobilization Center in Richardson, TX, workers are equipped in critical areas such as our church-planting model, developing a theology of risk and suffering, and skills that help them serve and thrive on a team. The days are full and demanding, and meals are mission‑critical fuel.
Because of limited facilities, all meals must be catered, creating a tangible opportunity for churches, Sunday school classes and other small groups to come alongside these future workers.
How You Can Get Involved
Would you and your church or community group be willing to provide a meal for our future workers and training staff? You can lend a hand in person or donate to make a lunch or dinner possible:
If you'd like to serve in person:
- Gather a group of 4-6 volunteers.
- Order food for 20-30 people from a local restaurant. (We’ll provide menu options, so no need to figure out what and how much to get!)
- Pick it up and deliver it to the Christar office.
- Join us for lunch or dinner and get to know some of our future workers and staff!
If you'd like to provide a meal from a distance, just use the form below to donate! $400 covers the cost of one meal.
The mission of Christar is to establish churches in least-reached communities—those without access to a fellowship of believers that proclaims the gospel in their language and in a culturally relevant way.
