ATHAR

Located in the Middle East, ATHAR engages Arab communities through holistic programs that respond to the region’s most pressing spiritual, emotional, social and developmental needs, while offering Christ-centered hope and truth. It builds on a foundation first laid in 2012 by a Christar worker, through a project known as ACCTS: Arab Center for Consulting and Training Services.

ATHAR, as it was renamed in 2026, continues the same vision and mission that guided ACCTS from its inception: to see Arab communities living in peace and harmony, empowered in spirit, soul and body. Though the name has changed, the calling, values and commitment to transformational impact remain the same.

Women’s Programs

Through Arab Woman Today (AWT), ATHAR advocates for women and raises awareness of the challenges they face across the Arab world. The program provides leadership development and discipleship training, equipping women with biblical grounding, practical skills and confidence to influence their families, churches and communities.

Youth Programs

ATHAR seeks to equip Christian young adults, who represent a small minority within the broader population, to understand their God-given role in building a better society. Through its youth department, ATHAR offers workshops, trainings, conferences and biblical content, including digital outreach via social media. These initiatives focus on helping young people align their faith with daily life, steward their gifts and actively contribute to their communities for God’s glory. Conferences also promote responsible citizenship and collaborative engagement, empowering Christian youth to influence their culture with wisdom and integrity.

Participate in the Ministry of ATHAR

By Supporting Financially:

• $100 enables one young adult to participate in a structured faith and personal growth session, focused on integrating Christian values into daily life and building healthy identity and relationships.
• $125 provides one young person with guided life and career discernment support, including decision-making tools, mentoring conversations and practical planning resources.
• $155 supports one young person through a calling and purpose discovery track, helping them identify God-given gifts, set purpose-driven goals and develop skills to live out and share their faith in alignment with the Great Commission.

• Pray ATHAR’s youth ministry will continually grow as the team responds to increasing needs among young adults in the Middle East.
• Pray for financial provision to sustain and advance current program phases.
• Pray for wisdom, discernment and spiritual strength for the ATHAR youth team, counselors and facilitators as they walk closely with young people and share the gospel.
• Pray that through ATHAR’s online and in-person ministries, many will encounter Christ and mature in their faith.
• Pray for the political and economic realities of the region and their impact on youth, that young people may find hope, resilience and godly direction amid ongoing challenges.
