Reaching Out to the Nations in Your Neighborhood: Four Books to Help You Get Started

About refugees ...

  1. Refugee Diaspora: Missions Amid the Greatest Humanitarian Crisis of the World, edited by Sam George and Miriam Adeney, 2018.
  2. A Better Country: Embracing the Refugees in Our Midst, by Cindy M. Wu, 2022 (second edition). This is a workbook for Christians in the U.S. to consider the ongoing and fluctuating needs of refugees. There are six lessons, followed by a personal action plan to encourage application.
  3. Serving God in a Migrant Crisis: Ministry to People on the Move, by Patrick Johnstone and Dean Miller, 2018. This book looks at refugees through a three-prong approach: examining the causes of the current crisis, exploring Christian theology and tradition around migration and looking at how Christian workers world-wide are embracing these modern outcasts. They state: "The world has literally come to our doorstep. Will we open the door?"
  4. Possibly?
